Cloud 9 Spa Balcony (Breeze)

Talk to me about the Cloud 9 Spa balcony on the Breeze. Only about $220 more then a regular balcony, is it worth the upgrade? It would be for myself, my hubby and kids 11 and 13.

I am new at Carnival, having sailed on RCCL, NCL and Celebrity in the past.

Been there and done that, depends on what your into for relaxation ? To me personally I would say no. Especially with kids ,you may want to do an excursion with the family.

The Spas are nice but the staff come on strong with sales tactics . Where they pressure you into buying things. More hidden expense.

With a spa balcony the adults in the cabin would get unlimited access to the thermal suites in the spa. This includes wet saunas, dry saunas, steam rooms, heated marble loungers, a cooling room with various teas and flavored waters that has huge panoramic ocean views, and the Thelasso therapy pool. The pool is the best as it has hot bubbly mineral water and built in loungers. We’ve done the thermal suites on the Breeze twice and loved every minute of it. It’s the best of the fleet as far as the thermal suites go IMHO. Getting a little quality couples time away from the kids while they’re at the kids center is something I would highly recommend. If you go to YouTube and look up the Carnival Breeze spa, there are videos of it. That should help you decide. Also, a spa cabin has upgraded decor, fancier more plush robes, nicer slippers, a big fluffy gold beach towel instead of the standard blue one, and a bowl full of spa samples in the bathroom. The cabin isn’t any bigger nor is the balcony. But being right by the spa is really nice. They have huge walk-in marble showers with benches inside of them which is great if you’re like me and hate the tiny cabin showers. My daughters and I like to get ready in the spa before going to the MDR. They have fresh towels, big well lit mirrored sinks, plenty of wall sockets for curling irons, and there are hair dryers provided too. Having been on the Breeze twice with both times being in spa cabins, I would say go for it. That’s a good deal and you will love it if you’re into spa’s.

In general if you have more than two people in a spa cabin, adults or kids, only the first two on the booking get spa access. I enjoyed my spa balcony last April on the Magic. We’d go in the morning for awhile and then after dinner hubby would go to the casino and I’d take a book and go lay in the stone loungers.

We just booked an inside spa cabin on the Horizon in January. (Trying not to splurge too much since we have an Alaska cruise in May) I can’t wait to be able to relax!

Also regarding the spa pressuring you. When I had a spa room and just used that area there wasn’t any pressuring. They’d just say hi and bye. When I’ve done massages they do recommend products but in my experience I’ve said no thank you and it ends at that.

Carnival Breeze was our first experience with a Spa Balcony, and we absolutely loved it! Booked spa room again for our next cruise. Room decor is much softer and relaxing and the location is perfect. The spa experience was fantastic. We used the thermal suites and heated loungers every day, sometime twice a day. So quiet and relaxing. The T-pool was okay too, but we really preferred the various saunas and aromatherapy rooms. We usually visited the spa when the pool decks got super crowded and we just needed a break and quiet time.

Not sure if I would book spa room with kids though. Unless, you are willing to enjoy it while they are doing other activities.

We enjoy the spa balcony, but only DH goes to the spa. So, we generally don't get one. BUT....I would NOT recommend getting one on 11, there is no cover on the balconies on 11. We had one on 11 a week it rained A LOT! Made for limited use, for sure!

would both you and your husband be using the spa?

you can buy a day pass if only you would buy it.

deck 12 balcony is uncovered located all the way forward.

I would probably use it more then him. The location of the cabins is what I am afraid of. I like my mid-ship cabins and get I will feel more motion in the forward if the ship.

We love spa cabins and stay on deck 11 often. If its the same or less to get that as it is to get a lido deck cabin (plus passes) then we do it every time. We also book our kids cabins up there with our own. I wouldnt like staying in a deck 12 balcony because it is uncovered. The spa management have tramsferred our kids cabin access to friends who were sailing with us in non spa cabin's every time we have asked, so keep in mind that is always worth asking for. We feel a lot less pressure to "get our money worth" when we stay in a spa cabin vs staying elsewhere and buying a couples pass. Also, being so close to the spa, we find that we do use the facility more often. I find that the Tpool is worth the entire price of admission because I like to soak but dont love crowds and chaos. They do not offer to sell you anything when using thermal suites. Actually, I have noticed that the selling is almost non existent nowadays when you do purchase spa treatments, which is a great thing. In the past I just inform them up front that I dont intend to make any additional purchases and I never heard another word about it.

I say yes. But the Spa is my thing.

What has not been mentioned is how quiet decks 11 and 12 are with respect to foot traffic. Limited number of cabins and generally families do not book those cabins, so just quieter overall...gives me the feeling of being very secluded/private. And you can access the buffet area very easy...just stay on deck 11 and take the middle steps down one flight...boom...there you are and you avoided having to fight through the usual crowds and noise around the main pool. We have been on deck 11 or 12 on four previous cruises (Breeze and Magic) and have never noticed any excessive ship movement, etc. Love the spa cabins!

It ended up being waaaay cheaper this time to take a balcony GTY and buy a spa pass. We've been assigned a cove on Deck 2 and I'm worried now about what a drag it's going to be to get back and forth to everything.

I have not been able to find the price for a day pass to the spa on the breeze. Can someone tell me where to look, or what the day pass price is? Thanks 42 days till we board.

The Spa Pass for use of the Thermal Suites & Thalassotherapy Pool is:

$139 single

$219 couples

These were the prices we paid once onboard on embarkation day.

We love the coves on deck 2 of the Breeze and will be in one for the 3rd time in a year. They are really nice after a long port day then its a real quick walk up to your cabin or after a late night in the casino its a quick walk down to your cabin. It is nice being close to the water on your balcony and is usually easier on the budget than a balcony higher up allowing us to cruise more, lol.

Is that the price for one day? Or how many days. We like deck 12 but unfortunately with our next cruise (14 day). It was no longer available, but my husband really liked the therapy rooms. But not for $139/day. Not at all worth it.
