Question about formal night attire

Would black capri pants and a nice (dressy ) top be appropriate for formal nights? (RCCL)

Yes, you will look fine as many passengers do not dress up for Formal Night anymore. Most anything goes. Some would say anything goes.

Agree with Karen - "formal nights" are only a suggested attire and whatever you are comfortable in is fine. RCL (as have most cruise lines) has relaxed any enforcement of formal attire on those nights and as long as you are nicely dressed you will be fine.

We have become one of the group of more casual dressers in recent years. We always dress nicely and appropriately for the dining venues, but I have left my tie and jacket at home for a number of recent cruises.
