Using Credit Card Reward Points - Not a Princess CC

In January we used some Amex reward points to “buy” a Carnival Cruise gift card. We used it when making our final payment. The picture of this Gift Card on the Amex website showed a card with pictures of all the Carnival logos, including Princess. Here’s my question... This year I have lots of reward points on a Chase credit card. On their website they have a card that is just titled “Carnival.” No, the reps at Chase and Princess had no idea if it could be used on our upcoming Princess cruise.

Any thoughts??

I don't believe Princess accepts any gift cards other than ones with their logo.

And unless your Chase Rewards credit card is a lot better than mine, none of the gifts cards available have a cash value higher than just redeeming the points for cash.

Amex and Chase (sapphire for example) points are valued at a much higher value by transferring them to partners or at least using the Chase travel portal than a statement credit or gift cards. Or redeeming those Amex points at merchants that let you at point of sale.
