RCCL have escape rooms, don’t think it quite fits in with Princess to be honest

Our city had several escape rooms. They seemed to have slowed and I know at least one of them has closed recently. I wonder how much Princess is charging for this and what space. I thought the fad was sort of over.

Yes the Escape Room or Puzzle Break was mentioned as a new feature in a recent 'live from' on the Ruby

Thanks for the explanation. I have vaguely heard of this game but did not realize it was being offered on the ship. It was not on the Ruby last month however.

On the above Live From post has the mention of the escape room. I read about it. Turns out it is free but you need to sign up fast

I just assumed you were talking about the buffet. Or maybe the art auction perhaps.

They had the Escape Room on the Grand last month on our Hawaii cruise but that's all I know. It was on the patter but we didn't participate.

They had the escape room on the Regal this past week.

We were lucky enough to be one of the eight teams that signed up for and participated in the Escape Room on the Regal repositioning cruise Oct 26th. It was held in what I believe was the chapel, and quite fun. Their game was Escape in 30 minutes or less. Being experienced escapers, we did it in 14 minutes. As mentioned, you search the room for clues, solve puzzles, which will open devices giving you access to keys or more clues etc. that you must solve in a particular order to succeed. As someone mentioned, they were quite the fad in the last few year, but seem to be fading from popularity. Our Escape Room AK business inFairbanks keeps interest high by changing the themes of the rooms every few months.

They had one on the Island last month. Sign up fast. With the right group it's a lot of fun.

Interesting.. been on almost 30 Princess Cruises and never encountered these. Just did our first one on land over Thanksgiving... would never have escaped with out my daughter and her boyfriend.. they are experts 😜

I believe this was actually held on our recent Emerald cruise. We didn't participate but I do remember it being offered. Like I said before I "think" it was held in the library.

It was held on the Ruby last month on our Thanksgiving MR cruise. The sign up was held in the library one morning and the line stretched from the library all the way past the wheelhouse bar, so there was definitely interest in the concept.

I escaped from the Brig once :eek: does that count??

:confused: I thought all the passengers on board a Princess ship had already 'escaped completely'.

I never can figure out the escape rooms online. I might get one or two clues, then never can get to the next step. I probably would spend the cruise locked in a room on a ship. :D
