You have now entered the new and improved, super secret, anything goes, sequel to my live from the Vista thread... I have no idea what shape this journey will take, but it's sure to get wierd... I guess I'll get the ball rolling with last night's dinner... Prime ribeye steak, brown rice, and canned black beans... (Like I said, it could get weird...)

A $7.49 bottle of Spanish Red Wine... ***Note: If there's steak involved, there will be red wine too...

***Note: I have another ongoing thread in the Test Forum, not to be confused with this one... That is where I "taught myself" how to use the Cruise Critic App to upload pictures and commentary. If you're REALLY BORED, you can check it out too, but be warned, it makes no sense at all...

Probably the least photogenic food p0rn yet, other than what I cooked last night. BBQ pork with collared greens and fried Brussels sprouts with balsamic vinegar... Trying to keep my calories up since I failed to gain any weight on the cruise.
***Note: I'm not trying to gain weight...

There's a road that runs North out of Atlanta called Buford highway... It has a plethora of ethnic restaurants running the gamut, from Vietnamese to Korean to Bangladeshi... This is one of my favorite, a Taiwanese restaurant called la Mei zei. Tree mushrooms served cold with a ginger sauce, and scallion chicken...

Sorry, no adult beverages, this is during my work day, and I'm the driver...IMG_20180607_113318882.jpgIMG_20180607_113747736.jpg

The easiest way to tell a Chinese restaurant from a "real" Chinese restaurant, is if you're the only non Chinese person in the place... This is just one of those places. Yummy Spicy, a genuine Szechuan place, and their famous yummy spicy chicken... Notice the amount of dried chili peppers. This is the real deal...

IMG_20180609_172520006-4008x3006.jpg

And afterwards, you can see just how many dried Szechuan peppers are used in this one single dish...

I know that many of you probably think that I'm a high falutin' fancy schmancy jet setter, but the truth is that my budget is far less than someone who likes to cruise 3 times a year, much less eat and drink like I would like to...

This is a picture of a typical lunch for me. A 97˘ can of sardines...

IMG_20180616_130847537.jpg

I eat that so that I can sometimes splurge on a nice, prime piece of beef ( cooked at home, of course)

IMG_20180616_183805033.jpg

That, and a nice bottle of wine once and awhile...

So Kong Dong, one of my go to Korean restaurants. Service not so great, but most of the authentic Asian places have adequate service at best... Banchan and dolsot stone bowl bibam bop... Yes, those are my custom titanium chop sticks...
