Is there a page set up where they have a listing of current Schooner entertainers? I know when we are on Carnival they have one on their boards and keep it updated. Thanks for your help and info :)

No, RC does not have anything like that.

We are on Freedom on Jan 6 with me, hubby and my 2 grown kids and their spouses. Is there good entertainment in the evening? We enjoy a variety of entertainment from piano bars, to shows to comedy shows to dancing.

Live music at multiple venues every evening. Comedy maybe two ot three times in a 7-day cruise.

If you email Royal Caribbean with a request for information about the entertainment scheduled for your Freedom cruise, they should respond with that information which usually includes the identity of the person who will be performing in the Schooner Bar.

Finish The Lyric, Majority Rules, Battle Of the Sexes, Love and Marriage Show, and The Quest*** are some activities/entertainment not to be missed. We enjoy all of them!

The Welcome Aboard Show and other shows int he theater we enjoy. Comedy- usually a few shows throughout the week and usually two different comedians.

**The Quest- look it up on youtube- you "have to" watch it at least once in your lifetime LOL

Also tons of trivia, 70s dance party, Silent Dicso (nightclub), pool deck activities- belly flop, hairy legs, line dancing, etc...

read the Cruise Compass (daily activities) that you will receive in your stateroom and can get some near the guest services desk. There's a lot going on!

You guys are so full of information. Is there a sports bar by chance?

They "call it" a sports bar sometimes- It's located near the entrance of the ice skating rink. The name is the "On Air Club" where they have karaoke and other activities. They have big screen tvs where they show football/baseball/basketball games depending on the season.

The ice skating show is usually great -- in Studio B, deck 3. I don't know how the Freedom OTS does their shows, but usually there are 4 identical shows, maybe 2 in the afternoon one day, and 2 in the evening another day. Sometimes tickets (free, no charge) are required to get in early to get a good seat or seats together for a group. Around 10 minutes or so before the show the line is opened up to stand-by, but of course your seat selections will be limited and likely not two seats together. On my last RCI cruise, the Liberty of the Seas in March, 2016, instead ot tickets they did the shows based on your cabin location. I did not like this, as we were with another couple who had a different cabin location that ours and hence had a different show time. I hope they have gone back to tickets -- that seemed to work just fine.

You'll have lots of live music including a pool band and a couple of dance bands. Enjoy your cruise.

Honestly, the piano bar on the Freedom was the only memorable part of the ship in Europe. There wasn’t anything else to do. Maybe it will be different in the Caribbean.

How unfortunate. That doesn't sound anything like the Freedom of the Seas that I know in the Caribbean.

This is what you can expect in the Schooner Bar (deck 4 forward of the casino):

The liberty of the Seas is a sister ship to the Freedom (same deck plan):

The first set (starts around 9pm) is usually crowded. The crowd usually thins out after 10pm for the 2nd and 3rd sets.

Sometimes there is sing-along with a guitarist in the pub on deck 5:

There should always be an entertainer in the pub, but not always sing-along.

The best pub (sometimes in Schooner) entertainer IMO was Derek Lewis, but I don't think he's on ships anymore:
