Diving in December

Hi there, we will be in St. Kitts, St. Thomas and Grand Turk next week and will be diving twice each day. Any thoughts on the choice between a 3mm shorty versus a 3mm full wetsuit? I know it is an individual choice but would be interested to hear other divers' experiences. I did read the previous post on what to wear snorkeling but it's always a bit colder below the waves. I always wear a full wet suit and it has nothing to do with temperature.

There are all kinds of nasties that you can brush up against.

Jellyfish, hydroids, fire coral,

Unless I am doing a hull penetration or something as such I just wear a shorty, if you are challenged with maintaining neutral buoyancy then I would suggest the full skin or 3mm wetsuit in case of contact with anything harmful.

In St. Thomas I usually wear a shortie.
