Is Royal preying on the math-impaired?

Just saw an advertisement -- sorry, can't get the pix to upload -- saying Royal is offering 20% off the Deluxe Drink Package. The package is $55/day, and with 20% off, it's $48. Hmmm ... it's expensive to be math-impaired. Specifically, it seems to cost an extra $4/day.

If you call and ask them to explain, they will say the 20% is a discount off of some other number.:rolleyes:

maybe they're talking discount then post the price including the gratuity, which makes it a wash. With only a 2% difference between gratuity and discount, it may seem like there's no savings.

Same thing when pricing a cruise!! Seems no matter the “sale” prices sometimes don’t change much!!
