Dinner in Vancouver

Recommended Posts

How long is a piece of string?

Without knowing the kind of food you like to eat, if budget is tight or unlimited or somewhere in-between, and how far 'near' means for you in terms of walk time or taxi cost, yours is an impossible question to answer accurately.

If it were me, and a nice splurgey 'on vacation' treat of a meal was on the cards, I'd be looking at Hawksworth. Only 500 metres (<550 yards, 10 minutes very leisurely walk) and probably still the single finest overall kitchen in the city. If you're looking for seafood, Blue Water in Yaletown would pip them (especially for raw dishes) and given the price of either meal, the <$10 cab ride to and from if you don't feel up to walking a mile should be pretty insignificant.

I would also check out Trip Advisor.

Vancouver is a large city so you might consider where the restaurants are in relationship to where you are staying.

We used trip advisor for all of our restaurant decisions and it worked out very well.

There are a few restaurants in the area... Elephant & Castle, Moose's DownUnder, Cactus Club, Joey's @ Bentall, or Mahony & Sons. These are just some of the places to eat within easy walking distance of the Hotel.

  • 3 weeks later...

We had dinner at Glowbal (590 West Georgia St) on our last visit to Vancouver and really enjoyed it. We usually stay at the Blue Horizon hotel and we really like their in house restaurant, Abode. Honestly, there are so many fantastic spots to dine at in YVR...you just have to do your research and decide what you want to eat!
