Early Luggage Drop Off

I apologize if this has been asked, I was unable to find anything in a search. We are cruising out of Long Beach April 21 and we have a check in set between 12:30-1:00 but we wondered if we could drop off our luggage earlier so we can visit the Queen Mary or see other sights on the pier before we come back at 12:30?

You can drop it off around 9:30 AM.

What other sites or things to do near Long Beach area? We are thinking of dropping off luggage at airport early and then take an Uber somewhere to site see for a couple of hours. Our flight Home is not until 2:30pm
