Vancouver Hotels

I'm looking at hotels for a couple of nights pre cruise next June. I'm wondering about any input on Blue Horizon or Listel Hotel? Good, bad, ugly? Any advice appreciated!

both of these hotels are about a block from each other on Robson Very good location

Many folks taking cruises stay at the blue horizon. It is a bit older but kept in decent shape. Likely less expensive than the Listel

either would be a good choice

I just booked at Blue Horizon for this October. Ill let you know how it is.. Seemed to have a lot of good reviews and location..

You'll find a lot of love for Blue Horizon on the boards; Listel comes up less often but has solid reviews on TripAdvisor etc. and should be a tad more luxurious inside than BH. Being local I don't stay in hotels, but in terms of location there's not much to choose - but BH offers rooms with views (higher floors, higher costs) whereas Listel is very low rise (and pretty ugly from the outside, boring and boxy, though the interior is very arty). In house resto, Forage, is superb though - but easily walked to from BH so I wouldn't let anything other than price (or view if you want one) to be a factor in choosing between the two.

We just got back from our Alaskan cruise.

We stayed at the St. Regis, which was amazing, and a bunch of our friends stayed at the Blue Horizon and they had no issues. It was centrally located and had lots of food options.
