Welcome to Cruise Critic. The Danube is not 'closed.' It is suffering from low water conditions, but this only affects an area west of Vilshofen [where I believe your AMA cruise ends] and to a lesser extent the port of Budapest. Some cruise lines have been unable to reach Budapest recently, but there was a report a few days ago that AMA has made it through:

Generally AMA is able to keep sailing when most other lines are grounded, because their ships have a shallower draft and their captains are experienced.
