East or west around the horn, which did you prefer?

Has anyone done both east and west bound? I have noticed some differences in port time and i'm wondering if it you liked one more than the other.

I have the same question and one additional one: which is the best month to take this cruise?

I have done east to west twice. The main concern that I had with west to east was that it went through Glacier Alley very early in the morning. But when we went east to west, we went after visiting Ushuaia. The first time, we had a full day in Ushuaia, which was great; but it was getting dark when going through Glacier Alley. The second time we left Ushuaia early to see the alley; which gave people very little time in Ushuaia. In my opinion, take the cruise that gives you the most time in Ushuaia. Glacier Alley is not as important to see as the gorgeous area around Ushuaia. I would rather wake up very early to see Glacier Alley to be able to spend more time in Ushuaia, so west to east might be the best option.
