Calories on the menu?

I notice that M Macdonalds is running an advertising campaign promoting a healthy life style by identifying the calories in menu items. Given that P&O have a current marketing strategy to attract the Macdonalds Generation, in order to fill its new resort size ships, might it be appropriate to detail the calories of each ready plated meal? I am sure that the so-called FOOD HEROS can add brain to their brawn to do so.

It will come about everywhere in the future, but I am happy ordering from the P&O menu and do not need the calorie details on it. It is easier for bigger fast food restaurant chains to be more accurate with standard meal sizes, whereas P&O dishes do vary in size and content.

They can’t even put allergens on fixed menus in select dining so I doubt they would ever go to the expense of calculating calorific data.

Forget about the kilojoules (calories) and get stuck into the tucker, you paid for it. I have seen on some cruise line the calorific value of some food items, I ignore them.

I probably don’t want to see the calorie content on the menu, I just want to enjoy. :)

The McDonalds generation have nothing to fear , there are no calories at sea !

I certainly don't want to think about calories whilst I am on a cruise thank you! :D

I can make choices on what I eat and how much without someone having to inform me how many calories it all adds up to.

Please, no! I feel guilty enough when I have to get in to my 'bigger' clothes mid cruise without having to look at how many calories I am eating when I enjoy my meals. :eek:

Hubby has just put his head in his hands at the thought of it ;-)

don't take any notice of calories anywhere, any time. Don't understand the units of alcohol either. Don't have time to worry about such things far to busy enjoying myself.
