It does pay to call for new itineraries before public opens

I was on the phone for 2 hrs on Wed as it was busy. I am glad I stuck with it because my trip o:cool:n Magic in 2019 to Norway and Iceland went up $440 overnight.

At least Disney offers Castaway members first chance. RCI says they do but then they don't.

So prebookings are good thing just make time and be patient.:p

Even if not a CC member, booking first thing opening morning is a good thing!

I booked online yesterday at 6:40 am Right now, for our family of 5, it would be 260 more.

Well, that's not exactly accurate. We booked 8B. 8C would be that much more, and 8B is sold out for a family of 5!

Yeah, not only for the best price, but if you are wanting a more unique itinerary (11 day Caribbean, 9 night Alaska, Norway, etc) they can sell out for certain categories in the first few days.

My worst experience was having the cost of the cruise increase by $800 between the time that I saw it on line and the time a DCL person answered the phone and pressed the button. This was the 2005 Panama Canal trip...since this was the first year it was done, it was very much in demand. That was before Castaway Club and early booking priorities, so it was a matter of go on line to see it and then book. Because I had a couple questions, I chose to call rather than to book on line. Expensive questions!
