What is the best Western Mediterranean cruise line?

Hi there,

I am looking to take my wife on a cruise to the western mediterranean (like france, spain, italy, possibly greece, open to ideas).

What is the best cruise line for this region if $$$ is not an issue?

We are married, no kids, no-smoking, 40+ something in age....

Thanks in advance

If dollars are not an issue then I would recommend a luxury cruise line such as Crystal or Seabourn. There itineraries vary often so you can look at them on their respective web sites to see what they offer the time of year you are interested in sailing. For Crystal go to http://www.crystalcruises.com and for Seaborn go to http://www.seabourn.com

There are other luxury cruise lines as well.

I forgot to add that I don't have sea legs, so a bigger ship without sacrificing quality would be ideal!!!!!

The Crystal Serenity is a nice mid size ship that carries around 900 passengers.

You'll find that the luxury ships are either small or medium size ships.

For a larger ship, I'd say Regent or Crystal -- depending upon whether you are comfortable with all-inclusive or not. The Regent ship in that area next year is all-balcony, 700 passengers -- a really nice ship. I agree about smaller ships and sea legs;)

Don't rule out Cunard in Grill class, especially if you want a BIG ship...QM2 does cruises to the Med., as does Queen Victoria (who is a bit smaller...). EM

Even though there is Grill class, we need to keep in mind that the Cunard ships are not luxury cruise ships. They are classified as premium. And, even if one books Queens Class acommodations once they step out of either their room or the Queens Grill they are not on a luxury cruise line.
