1-25-18 Thursday Weigh-In... Where Does The Time Go?

Almost the end of January

Next weigh-in February

Did the month go as you wanted it to

Did you lose or gain four or two

Hard to start after the holidays I know

We want to do good but hard to say no

Extra food on our lips taste so good

Even though we want to eat healthy food

Know some of you have done great

This month you lost some weight

Others had a rougher time

Need more water with lemon or lime

Hope the month of January got us through our ups and downs

Now we want more smiles then frowns

Have to get through this weigh-in good or bad

Then February we will do good to make us all glad

Good morning Belle. Thanks for the lovely start as usual. No change here this morning. Still walking, but not eating very well. Don’t seem to be too motivated at the moment. Not cruising til June.

Guess Diana is at sea this morning, so that’s good. Hope it’s going well for her.

Hope you guys have some good numbers to report. I need some inspiration.

Mike

HI all!

Belle ~ nice message as usual.:D

I'm happy to report I'm down almost a pound, 0.8 lbs so that's good. Could have been better if I'd left a few things at the store instead of bringing them home.:o

Mike ~ it's okay to take a breather, you know you can do it when you're feeling better.(y)

Looking so forward to our cruise in 19 more days! Only problem is this line assigns cabins & I'm not happy with where ours

is but my TA is working on it.

Oh that reminds me, yes Mike I do use a TA & found her on one of my other CC threads. She's with Expedia in Vancouver BC so 3 hours behind our time. She's really on the ball & doesn't seem to eat or sleep!! I stopped using the one I had for years as she never seemed to give us anything extra, was an hour away & wasn't open on weekends.

Hope the rest of you are losers too.;)

Thanks for the TA advice Jo. My wife seems a bit more patient regarding this issue, so i don’t know if a change will be made or not. I think we’re good for the rest of this years cruises, but soon it’ll be time to tackle next June. Guess we’ll see what happens. Thanks again.

Well, I ended the week 1/2 lb up but I have a plan for this next week! I made a menu for the week using the Lose Weight By Eating cook book and just got home from the grocery store with the required food so hopefully this week will go much better since I’m more prepared. Our cruise starting March 14th is coming up very quickly so I have to kick it into gear!

Good job Jo on your weight loss and Mike just hang in there!

Good luck to everyone this week! I’ll check in sometime this week to report how I’m doing on my plan. Have a great week!

Good afternoon, or is it morning still or what? I've been back on midnight shift for about 3 weeks now and honestly it still feels like week one :-/ This does not help in my weight loss at all. Oh well, I'll eventually get (mostly) used to it.

Thanks for the great opener Belle.

Way to go everyone. Even if you're up a bit or stayed the same (or even if you gained a bit) the point is we're trying and that really counts for a lot.

As of yesterday I was down 1 but today says I stayed the same so I'm going with yesterdays weight lol (which was actually Thurs weigh in anyway) So that my friends is officially down 20 lbs. Yay.

73 to go but that's ok, I'll get there.

Cruising with coworkers and we set sail in 17 days. A first cruise for all of us

Hello All

A day late and a pound up. Eating to late at night. on cruises it's fine

because your active afterwards. At home just sit at computer after I eat.

Have to change that.

So many of us cruising soon. I leave on the 6th of February.

Diana should be back soon. Then think she has another one

in April and Mike cruising in June. I think we ALL enjoy

cruising so much. Think WE would do more if WE had more money!:D

Now the weekend is here. Hope we all can be good and eat right.

I need to start getting things ready for my cruises. Maybe when try on clothes

will say..Not Eating till I leave!

Hi Belle.

Currently I'm at work. I'm on break trying to stay awake. Having a difficult time getting used to midnight shift.

I'm eating 1/2 a meal replacement bar then at 5 am I'll have my "breakfast". I try and keep it somewhat light because I'm not used to eating that early in the day. But I need something otherwise I won't be able to sleep after my shift.

Weather is not so bad now actually. Had a pretty yucky cold spell a couple weeks ago. Rain is actually in the forecast.

So looking forward to visiting the Caribbean in 2 weeks!!!

Hi Liz...I stay up late but if had to work your shift then I probably

would want to go to sleep. Do you change shifts ever so often?

May I ask what you do?

Your cruise will be here before you know it. Your 1st one. You'll

love it and get hooked like the rest of us. Hope you have warm

weather on your cruise. You should.

We've been having cool weather, some rain, 30's morning time.

Suppose to be nicer this week coming. 60's but still cold mornings.

Can't wait for warmer weather on my cruises.

Wishing that your shift will go fast tonight and you'll be home in bed soon.

OK where are all the PEOPLE who missed weigh-in?

Why is no body talking? Know it's Sat. but come in for a

MINUTE! Are you doing enjoyable things? Or just relaxing?

I'm trying to get things together for my cruises but being lazy

finding excuses not to do it. Like being on the computer.:D

Hey Belle and everyone else. Tis the season for some to be at sea so maybe we've got more out than we thing. I didn't have a terrible week, but my son and I made a day trip to Pittsburgh to goof off and ate our share of junk. It was a great day though, so no worries. The plan is to be back on the treadmill tomorrow and back to as close to normal as can be next week. Although my keurig is on the fritz so I don't know how normal my morning can be.

Hi Mike

Glad you had a great day with your son. Those memories will

last forever.

I'm so bored even though I have a lot to do. So it's been hard not

to eat. Was really good yesterday, good today but not as good

as I wanted.

This living alone is for the birds. Miss talking to someone everyday.

I know I'm not the only one but it is the pits! Sorry guess I'm in a mood tonight.

Well hope you have a good Sunday.

Everyone who reads this..Have a Good Sunday too.

Morning Belle. Thanks, I agree. Days like yesterday are invaluable to me. And I will treasure them. We splurged a little (or maybe more) and spent too much money. But in a few years he’s off to college likely, and those splurges won’t concern me in the least.

I understand how you feel. My Mom is in the same boat and lives on her own. At least you’re involved online. I wish I could get her more interested in that sort of thing to provide some interaction. Do you have a pet? They are invaluable as well. But of course I can’t talk my mom into that either.

Well, I hope you have a better Sunday. Take care.

Mike

Hi Everyone,

Got back last night. Checking in.

I weighed myself this morning, gained 3 lbs. Not too horrible, Hopefully I'll have a loss this Thursday.

Sounds like some of us are puttering along. Life gets on the way.........

6 weeks until our next cruise which the while trip will be 40 days. Told hubby we better bring some elastic waist bottoms. Ha ha.

Really need to get down several lbs. for a buffer.

Have a good day. Diana

So far off the rails I didn't feel like moaning to the group. Birthday weekend so using that as this week's excuse to blow the diet. Seems that's all I do - find excuses to not stay the course.

Got some walking in with the pooch and a military "car show", but ate too much, again...

But if you're going to cheat, might as well be prosciutto and pasta out of a flaming wheel of parmesan... 2b9d385e4f3e947fa8b6a22ab8dd9e9c.jpgd1c80c051955596c59987f79c0133ead.jpg

Thanks Mike. Hope your doing better each day with the decision you made.

Life is hard at times.

Welcome back Diana. Hope you had a good time. Sure it's water weight, you'll get it off

for sure before your next cruise.

shootr your birthday? If so Happy Belated Birthday Wishes. Glad you had a fun weekend.

Dinner looks interesting! Remember you can moan in here anytime.

Hi all. I'm not sure where my week went. I certainly thought of all of you but just didn't get a chance to check-in this week yet. I have a trip to Mexico planned with some family in mid-March and I've been kicking around these last 8 pounds for months. I bought a gym membership in September but I only used it a couple of times since then, until this weekend..... I went 2 times! I feel a bit lost in the gym- all those machines, but I ran for a bit and then the next day did a short (but apparently effective) interval session. I am down 1/2 pound :D

Jo- I'm in Vancouver so I would be interested in getting the name of your Expedia travel agent. I used Expedia once to book an Alaskan cruise and the TA was very helpful so I wonder if it's the same one.

Shootr- I don't like cheese but that looks amazing. Happy Birthday!

Mike, Shootr, Belle, Diana, Lizette, Cruzmama... hope I didn't miss anyone. Have a great start to the week.

I am a morning person. I don't do well on this shift at all (midnight till 8 am Wed-Sun... Mon & Tues are my "weekend"). Unfortunately because we're unionized I do not change shifts. We do shift picks once a year :-/

I work in a 24/7 casino as a slot attendant (minor fixes on slot machines, give change, pay you your jackpot etc). It's a great job, I love it actually. Just don't like the shift

Hey Lizette. That would have to be an interesting job especially on that shift. My experiences in casinos during those hours have been pretty ugly. Anyway, I hope you get your diet rearranged in a way that works for you.

Hi all!

westcoastgirl ~ My TA's name is Carol Dyck, direct phone # 604 281 2804, email cdyck@cruiseshipcenters.com

This is given with her approval.

Liz ~ do you work at Rama? I used to work midnights at the Post Office & found it tough & probably not as much fun as working at a casino.

Going to be interesting to see what Thursday weigh in brings. Fingers crossed!

Belle, unfortunately since we're unionized now our seniority is based on how long you've been working at the casino. In my dept I'm dead last. Therefore I get the last shift that is left when we pick shifts. Nobody seems to want grave shift so it's left last (don't know why?? Lol)

retiring soon, yes I work at Rama
