Shore excursions - can you transfer to another pax?

I am traveling on the Escape next week and have an OBC for a shore excursion. My adult child is traveling as well in another cabin. Can I book a shore excursion from my cabin to take advantage of the OBC and then give it to him?

The credit goes with the cabin so since he's in another cabin it cannot be used toward an excursion booked for him.

I've used this perk on two different cruises, but have always be on the excursion to qualify for the credit.

It's my understanding that they will deliver the shore excursion tickets to the cabin on the first day of the cruise. Hypothetically speaking, how would they know if my son used the ticket instead of my husband?

They probably wouldn't but the purchasing name and cabin number are on the Shorex ticket. So if you book in your name they might notice!!

Are you wanting to just pay for his excursion using your OBC? Not the 'perk' $50 credit? If so, I can't see why you couldn't go to the shore excursion desk and purchase a shore excursion for him and just charge it to your sea pass card. A few years back a relative I was cruising with bought me a massage as a present and they were able to charge it to her seapass.

Yes you can. The ticket will be in your name but they don't check who uses it, in fact they don't pay any attention to the names. The tickets are collected by the vendor, and all they do is verify that everyone has a ticket.

This is incorrect. All you have to do is give the ticket to whomever you want to use it.

OP - Keep in mind that you will not be able to book another excursion on NCL at the same time as the one you give away, if that matters to you.

If the excursion has a release they may check. I did the ATV ride and I had to complete a release AND show my drivers license. If they verify names on the ticket there could be an issue. If not probably not a concern.

You are buying a ticket to an excursion. Anyone can use the ticket.

The names are on the shorex tickets, but nobody cares...nobody checks.

Keep in mind the credit is for the cabin, not per passenger. So if one from your cabin is taking the excursion, then it is simpler to allow your son buy his in his name as usual.

It is only one credit for the cabin for each port as long as the excursion is booked through NCL.

Jill5172, Can you tell me if this worked out? Leaving on NCL in a week and have the same situation with 3 cabins and only one cabin's occupants are going on an excursion. The other 2 credits for that day will go to waste unless we can use tickets in other family members names.
