Mini suite...Epic

The difference has something to do with cabin location not size.

I honestly couldn't tell the difference between our mini suite & any plain balcony cabin. I'd never pay extra for the alleged "upgrade" again.

This will be our first ncl cruise...we went with the mini suite because at the time of booking it was less than a regular balcony cabin. We are on deck 11 ..MA cabins are beside MB...they alternate ...

To answer the OP question

MA has bed next to balcony and has a tub

MB has bed closer to entrance and tub

MC has bed next to balcony and shower only

MD has bed next to entrance with shower only

For what its worth for future Epic cruisers... We have been on Epic three times, twice in Spa Minis, and on the recent TA we had a spa balcony with a very large angled balcony. We didn't think there would be much difference :eek::eek: wrong!!!! OMG it was so tight.. I'd never do anything less than a mini suite on Epic.. there is just zero room to manoeuvre in a regular balcony sized cabin.

Also we missed the huge showers (or tub if that's what you like) they have in a mini suite.

At the time we booked there were no spa minis left, so we took the spa balcony. We would have been far better opting for a regular mini suite with a spa pass.

Fantastic cruise.. best TA cruise in years..but boy that cabin was tight! For the benefit of future readers, don't let anyone tell you there isn't much difference between a regular balcony and a mini-suite..its nonsense.. For sure there is!:')

I wish all cruise lines would make it clearer on the tub vs shower... I haven’t had a bath in over 40 years...

I hope you meant " I haven’t had a bath in over 40 years " on a cruise ship. LOL

Not quite ....

MA and MC have bed next to balcony and have bathtub.

MB and MD have bed closer to entrance and have shower.

MA & MB - Higher decks.

MC & MD - Lower decks.

So....final answer... No tub in MB? Couch next to balcony?

Yes, both correct.

And we prefer this layout; we can sit on couch and sip wine while looking out. And space by the balcony for us to dress up and get ready.

We were in MA Oct 2011 and in MD Oct 2012.

And it's a known fact that MA and MC are identical, but on different decks. Ditto with MB and MD.
