Not sure but I hope your not departing in Genoa, it was complete chaos !!!

we had a flight that landed at 11:00 local time collected out luggage, got a taxi to the port and were on board by 11:45

That was before the bridge disaster, don't know how bad the traffic will be now.

We embarked Seaview in Genoa earlier this month. The local drivers (shuttle, taxi, uber) know their way around the closed roads. Embarking in YC was as smooth as it could be. We arrived at 11:40 and were immediately escorted to the YC tent, check-in counter and onto the ship. We were in the YC lounge at 12:10 . Embarking was well organized and very relaxed for us. We did not see other YC passengers during embarking. Our luggage was in the cabin at 13:10.

In what way ? We’re arriving by train the day before

Be there early, you have paid for the first Day also. Better waiting in the terminal then at the hotel. Normaly around 11.30 They start boarding. So Go and get a low number for Bording.

We departed the ship at 1000 and there was mass chaos with people pushing and shoving there way into the line up to try and get taxis No one from the ship or port to assist

We are boarding the Meraviglia in Genoa on Oct 6th. Just got my tickets and the check in time is listed as 15.25 for a 18.00 departure.

We are Yacht Club and was planning to arrive at the port at around mid day. Would we be able to embark if we arrived before our allocated time?

Yes you can, we embarked on Seaview before our allocated time (see above, answer #4).

Thanks for the info. Eager to get on board as soon as we can and make the most of it!
