Do they still give free lanyards to past cruisers?

Recommended Posts

They did last week. This was only our 2nd DCL cruise and had no idea they gave these out so it was a pleasant surprise. Also sweet to be welcomed “back” by all the staff on embarkation day.

If it’s your first cruise but you’re in concierge class will you get a lanyard .

No. The lanyards are DCL's way of distinguishing returning cruisers. There are three levels based on how many cruises you've completed; each level has a different lanyard.

First timers do not get a free lanyard, regardless of what cabin category they have booked. There are lanyards for sale in the gift shop. They are also available in Wal-mart.

As a concierge level cruiser, you'll get a pretty gold KTTW card.

So when do returning cruisers get their free lanyard? When you check in?

Yes, at check in. If you are cruising from PC, no issues. If you are embarking in Barcelona, watch what they try to give you. We are Platinum, and the check in clerk didn't understand why I wouldn't take a "silver" lanyard.
