Homelands-Gdansk

Hi all,

We are on an August Homelands cruise. Our time in Gdansk is short (6am-1pm). We are thinking of doing the included tour and then seeing the Amber museum on our own. Is that doable? Where does the included tour end? Is it close to the Amber museum? Does Viking have shuttles to get back to the ship?

Thanks for any information you can share about Gdansk.

Our walking tour guide offered to take interested people to an amber workshop after our tour finished . Not sure if that would

be the case with all guides.

Wish we had longer in Gdansk and also in Aalborg. Nothing comes alive until about 10 am.

I say it's doable. Viking will tell you where & when to meet for the walk back to your bus at the latest time possible. On our tour we were not far from the Amber Museum. Guide also took us to an amber store which you can blow off and have more free time. Store does have a toilet!

If I'm wrong your guide will correct me.

There are various times for tours in all of the ports so try to get a tour that will leave you some time at the end if you want to go there. Even if you do not get your first choice, keep checking as things do open up.
