hi majmom, yes pinnacle excellent, superb service, nice and slow so dont go if your in a hurry!!

crab cakes to start then the bone in rib eye for me - perfect, the other half does not eat meat and thorougly enjoyed a generous portion of ctrabs legs.

would highly recomend

did not go to sol de mer , but spoke to some who did and tey very much enjoyed it but there was a lot of food!!!

Thanks so much for the additional info. We will definitely be doing Pinnacle as we have a huge lobster lover in our group who always upgrades to the larger lobster tail. But the bone-in ribeye sounds perfect for me. And we went ahead and made reservations for Sel de Mer since the Oosterdam doesn’t have a Tamarind. So I am anxious to give something new a try. Thanks again.

I’m thinking of buying these cards (much more portable!)

Yellow Mountain Imports American Mah Jongg (Mahjong, Mah Jong, Mahjongg, Mah-Jongg, Majiang) Playing Cards https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0031ATWXW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_JL0cBb8PEHPBQ

Not totally thrilled that they turned the Gallery Bar into a game room... but I know it's still been a bit of an uphill battle trying to utilize that space. If this is what gets more people in there then I suppose it's worth it.

Before it was the Gallery Bar it was Northern Lights, a discothèque. On the HAL ships I've been on with the Northern Lights venue, I've never heard disco music or seen anyone dancing to the Bee Gees. It was just an odd underutilized space to walk through.

On our last HAL cruise I thought the Gallery Bar was a nice place to sit, have a drink and talk. Being next to the casino there was the obligatory bells, whistles and other noises from gambling machines and gamblers. It wasn't a quiet place except in port when they shut down the gambling. So having it turn into a game room is not the worse thing to happen. I wish there was a way to block the casino noise though.
