ms Zaandam & ms Volendam in Juneau May 25, 2018

Zaandam will beat her older sister into Juneau arriving at 0800 while Volendam will not arrive until 1300. Both are scheduled to leave at 2200. Zaandam will be at the AS dock and Volendam at the CT dock.

Not a very nice day for our HAL visitors. The high is only predicted to be 49F/9C and the low at 39F/4C. There is a 100% chance of rain with about a half inch predicted. Ugh! Sunrise is at 4:12 am and the sunset is 9:39 pm.

Also in port is Disney Wonder at the AJ dock from 0600-1700 making her first visit of the season.

According to Marine Traffic, Zaandam is stopped just south of Douglas Island. I remember Amsterdam doing that in the past. I will likely miss her sail-in but will be home for Volendam.

I think I remember she anchors until 6AM and then heads for the port.

I was here yesterday by myself - the weather was beautiful - though it did cloud over; today there are at least 3 of us and we are looking through raindrops. :(
