PARKING AT MANHATTAN PORT -- earliest arrival

We've sailed from this port three times, but have a question for other cruisers who've sailed from there. Do you know what the earliest time we can arrive is where parking will be open? We have arrived at 11 a.m. in the past and always gotten a parking space, but were wondering if we arrived at 10 a.m. would we be as lucky. Not sure how quickly passengers get to their cars and leave. Thanks much.

We usually arrive at about 9:30 and there are always lots of parking spaces available. Most ships will have been disembarking passengers for quite some time by then. Of course if your ship isn't scheduled to dock until 10 am it may be a different story...but most ships dock by 7 or 8.

Suggest reviewing the Manhattan Cruise Terminal schedule and see how many other ships are arriving/departing on the same day as the OP's departure. This might give an idea of the volume of passengers.

PS The schedule now only goes through December 2018. Next years will be posted sometime later this year.

We've arrived when there were three ships boarding on that day -- it only affects the line waiting to enter the terminal, but that is well controlled with lights and police directing traffic. Which is why after this year we will be doing the 9:30 arrival again -- the line to enter was so much shorter. The number of ships in port does not affect your parking ability as each ship has it's own terminal and parking.
