Does anyone happen to have copies of recent "dailies"--the news sheets or daily guides for Koningsdam to the S. Caribbean? It would be so helpful to see the list of things to do for daily planning, ie. when to schedule massages, do wine tastings/culinary class, et cetera! Thanks for any help here!

Anything recent would be from 'last season' March/April. Koningsdam is currently in Europe and 'next season' for Caribbean will start in November. Things change from one 'season' to next.

Also, which Southern Caribbean have you booked? ABC Islands or Martinique, st Marten, St Lucia?

Sorry, cant help then. We are also going on 11 day Wayfarer in March. We were on the 10 day Seafarer to the ABC Islands in February past, but I have checked and we did not keep the daily 'When and Where' papers.

New season starts in November. First 11 day Wayfarer is November 21st and perhaps some kind person will post copies of the 'When & Where' or do a 'live from' report.

I will be on the Konigsdam 11-day cruise in December and will be posting my When & Where on my website with a link to CC within four days of my return (or sooner). It is my plan to do a "live from" thread here on Cruise Critic to answer questions for those on subsequent cruises.

Just realised that this is the cruise straight after her first dry dock!

You will have a lot of reporting to do for us all. Smoking in the Casino?, Layout of the Music Walk etc...........

I'll also be interested in your review since she will just be out of dry dock.

Is there any thread that discusses different options for an oceanview cabin?

Except for the CQ up on deck 10, the four D far forward on deck 7, and the four E the near forward elevators on deck 4, all of the OV are on the Main deck.

First about the Main deck cabins: assuming you don't need the extra space of a FA or FB family cabin that leaves C, E, or F. All are the same except for location. The E and F are cheaper because far forward and aft tend to experience more pitching motion than mid-ship cabins. I suggest you avoid cabins on the port side below the galley (1136 to 1150) or below the Queen's lounge or nearby (about 1078 to 1110) because of potential noise above.I would suggest starboard, 1059 to 1141.

The deck 7 D and deck 10 CQ should not be booked by anybody susceptible to sea sickness IMO because of potential pitching and rolling but have a unique forward view.

My choice for an OV would be one of the four E on deck 4: 4037 to 4040. They have floor-to-ceiling windows, like balcony doors that don't open, are near elevators, and are cheaper than C's!

Hope this helps! :)

We spent 32 days in one of the F cabins on the main deck and they are just fine. Not much traffic since it is a dead end hall, near the elevators, only one floor up to the MDR. In fact we will be in this same location for our 42 days on the Koningsdam in Jan/Feb 2019.:D:D

Here ya go.. 11 Day Cruise last January on the Koningsdam... I also included shots of room 4154 which has the double balcony incase anyone wants to see how big it actually is. There are two rooms like this on the ship. Grab the room if its ever available you can have a party out on your balcony.

All of my cruises have been to Alaska, Caribbean, Panama Canal, and Mexico on HAL.  I don't count my island cruises while living in Greece or river cruises while living a few kilometers from the Rhein River in Germany.

I do my best to meet culinary and dining room staff to get menus.  All of my contacts have taught me a lot about on-board activities and what is possible..  So far so good.
