Changes to Crow's Nest, starting with the Westerdam (two threads merged.See post #29)

We are on the Westerdam in January 18 and hoping that trivia will be held in the Crows Nest.

I'm hoping that at some point there will be a list of anticipated dates for the conversions.

Spring 2018 is most likely for Oosterdam, where she's featuring a gap in her cruise schedule.

And Zuiderdam should get it by fall 2017, between her final Canada/NE cruise from Quebec to Florida, and her first Caribbean cruise in November.

Oosterdam is DONE !! Has the Billboard in place. Explorations Cafe, Library is now in Crow's Nest on Starboard Side with a few Computers...........Couple of spots for Puzzle lovers... Pain in the neck when you have to march all the way to the front elevators and go all the way to the Crow's Nest for a cup of coffee....must be part of HAL's customer mandatory physical fitness program. You vill like it !

DONE? We were on it in November, and EXC was not in. When did that occur? And the library - how many books do they have now? When we were on it, there were so few as to be non-existent. The library and Explorations Cafe have been in the Crows Nest for some time on many of the Vista ships. It was on the Zuiderdam two years ago, although the library actually had books, and the Oceans Bar had live music.

The major concern appears to be the EXC and what it will do to the Crows Nest.

Between her cruise transmitting the Panama Canal and her Transatlantic starting Apr 3,2018 she's having a gap in her schedule!

Since she still does not feature EXC or other new venues installed on Westerdam, she's extremely likely to be docked, Freeport would be very feasible.

And she is not charters during those two weeks.

Read Copper 10's #200 post. She is not scheduled for a refit in 2018. She just had one in 2016. Secondly, read my previous post. The Oosterdam has all or most of the upgrades of the Westerdam except EXC. And that is one of the reasons many of aboard her last November complained about the greatly reduced live music and dancing, the non-existent library, and, basically, that it was a boring ship.
