There are seven cruise ships in Port Everglades today, Sunday, 12 Feb 17

HAL's Koningsdam, with poster Boytjie/Peter returning from his RSVP charter, is scheduled to dock at Berth #21 in Midport, and is scheduled to set sail at 16:00/4:00 PM EST. After her just completed charter, she will be back on her regular seven-day Eastern Carib run. K-dam's inbound captain was Canadian Darin Bowland who is being relieved today by her original take-out captain, Dutchman Emiel de Vries.

Rotterdam, HAL's co-flagship and lead ship of the four-vessel "R" class, has been assigned HAL's usual Berth #26 and is also scheduled to depart at 16:00/4:00 PM EST. She will be on a nice three-week Eastern, Southern and Western Carib voyage. RTDM's captain is Dutchman Johannes "Hans" Mateboer, the book author.

I hope to be here this afternoon for sail away.

We were scheduled to be on the Rotterdam sailing today. The last time we were on her was quite a few years ago when she did an Orinoco River cruise.

Sorry to hear that you will be missing your cruise. I know how that feels, having just had to cancel one myself.

Hi everyone. Back after a very good cruise, even if I got a nasty head cold towards the end.

We really liked the Koningsdam. I will likely post more about it the cruise in a few days.

Our flight home is 5:45 pm so will miss the sailaways, unless I watch on my iphone. Maybe we will see ships after we take off

John, is this the last of the 7-day Eastern Caribbean. I know next week Koningsdam starts off with 10 and 11 day cruises; does she have any more 7-day cruises before her TA?

Roy

Yeah; this will be her last 7-dayer to the Eastern Carib prior to her eastbound T/A on 02 Apr. She does two 10 and two 11-day combo Eastern/Southern Carib voyages prior to that crossing

Welcome back! Aircraft are taking off towards the east from FLL today, so if you're sitting on the left hand side, have your camera ready. Safe flight home!

Wow, KK, I'm sorry you had to cancel, too. We were also supposed to be onboard. I would have loved to have met you! I'll be here to wave the Rorrerdam off.
