Would you suggest going to the Belize Zoo on your own?

it will be just my daughter and I on this cruise and we want to go to the zoo. Any suggestions on ways to get there? We could book a cruise excursion or had anyone used a local company? Thanks!!

Belize zoo is a great little Zoo so absolutely go there. You can take a taxi there.

I have a few questions:

About how far of a taxi ride is it to the zoo? Cost of taxi ride each way?

The Belize zoo is about 29 Mi or 45 minutes from Belize City. Should be about 15 bucks or so for a taxi full. That'll depend on your negotiating skills. Go ahead and Google the Belize Zoo website.

There would also be an entrance fee to the zoo and a return trip taxi fare

I am just questioning the price because I know quite a few BC taxi drivers and none would even think about taking you out to the zoo for this price. Also there is no way to get a taxi at the zoo so participants need to consider asking someone to wait for them and make it a round trip deal with payment at the end.

If you have gotten it for $15 one way for taxi you got deal, most would not be that lucky.
