LAX to Long Beach using Flyaway

Two of us are coming in the day before our cruise and I'm researching transportation from LAX to Long Beach. Has anybody had personal experience with the Flyaway bus/shuttle? It practically ends at our hotel. I'm kind of leery about buying a ticket for a shuttle ahead of time that might might be too full, and having to wait another hour for the same scenario. It seems all the shuttle services have very mixed reviews in terms of dependability.

What airline are you flying in on?

LAX is in the shape of a horseshoe. Sometimes we have had to wait. Sometimes they’ll send an empty bus to the end of the horseshoe. A few times we have walked across the airport parking structures and picked up the Flyaway at the beginning of the airport.

We'll be flying in on Delta, which I believe puts us in at Terminal 2.

Correct Delta is Terminal 2.
