Does anybody know where the tender boats taking passengers to in Ha Long Bay?

They drop you off at the Halong Plaza hotel, just walk to the left along the cay. If you take a Hal tour to the caves and little islands (great tour) the boats will pick you up along the ship...

FYI if you turn left from tender station and either walk or short taxi to the boat terminal you will find dozens of boats that do the halong bay tour , visit the caves, and same itinerary as HAL excursion boats....the price is a fraction of what HAL charges and are posted at the ticket window ..."maybe" the HAL boat might be slightly nicer but the regular boats are just fine.

When you say cheaper, HAl tour is only $69.00. Will the local tours be in English and will boats be crowded?

I think I paid about $5-10 for a nice Halong Bay boat tour and yes it was in English. Many boats to choose from and mine was about half full.
