Firstly, which email address did you use? This one was confirmed as the correct address by someone on another forum a few weeks ago, and that person also confirmed that Princess were accepting emails. benefits@princesscruises.com.au

Otherwise snail mail it with a covering letter stating the cruise details and booking reference to:

Princess Australia

Shareholder Benefits Department

P.O. Box 1429,

Chatswood, NSW 2057

Thank you. Not sure it would be worthwhile for me as i am always travelling on a good deal. It says those travelling on a reduced rate are excluded. Am I correct in assuming that the discounts only applicable if i pay full brochure rate?

No. That "reduced rate" is not the usual sale prices available here. I think it applies to special TA prices (like the special deals airlines have for staff), or casino deals that we don't see here.

I've never had a problem getting my Shareholder OBC even when I've scored fare reductions because of sales.

We've done very well out of our 100 Carnival Corp shares.

Just sent it to benefits@princess and got the "to apply you need to fax to this number....or send to this address"

Looks like it is snail mail, lucky I have a couple of months to get it sorted, unless they turn that fax machine on:rolleyes:

Showing 61.45 us dollars at the moment per share.

Yes, that is what mine is showing, I am sure yesterday they were 63.

When I bought they jumped $20 in a month.

A much better investment than having that money in the bank for us, even 2 14 night cruises a year OBC of $250 each plus the dividend is more than interest would earn if invested.

They have been as high as $68 per share. They've dropped a bit over the last couple of months though. The trick is to guess when they've reached a current low point if you want to buy.

I am cruising 27 July. Have a few spare dollars cba shares are doing nothing for me. Wonder if i can buy them in the next week or so and still get the 250 obc.

possibly but who knows how long they take, it took almost two weeks for our account to be set up for the share purchase.

Agreed about the dividend, around $120 USD per year and then the OBC on sailings.

Yes, it took DH a few days to set up the share account but after that it was quick.

You should be able to do it in time for a July 27th cruise.

I think the dividends are up to US$50 a quarter, and then there's the OBC on top of that.

I have just checked the last quarters' dividend we received was $0.40 USD per share, which meant $40 USD or $50 AUD.

Makes it around $200 AUD per annum.

I suggest buy now, they have crashed in the last 2 days due to a profits warning. When I applied to Cunard a while ago,the whole process took 2 days. They operate a paperless system here so they accepted a pdf attached to email.Cheers,Brian.

It surprises me no end that Carnival Corp has Princess, Cunard, Carnival, HAL and P&O, but they all seem to have different methods on how to apply for the Shareholder benefit. Some respond to the email, others need snail mail, while others have to be faxed.
