4th of July on Triumph

Does Carnival do anything special on the 4th? Any tips or advice greatly appreciated.

I think I asked this exact same question 20 years ago when cruise critic was an aol chat board.

Nope, no fireworks or anything like that. There will be festivities and song though.

We were on Triumph and July 4th 2016 was the day we left NOLA. It was extremely hot that day but we found chairs in the shade for the Sail Away party. They had a Miss July 4th pageant (something like that), someone sang the National Anthem and they gave away a few red, white and blue party favors. That evening as we cruised down the river several of the river towns had fireworks and we were able to watch some of that.
