Good Evening

Its been years since Ive posted...We are looking to book the Miracle out of Tampa to Panama....we always cruise carnival...Is or has this ship been retro fitted/dry docked? If so when and what does this ship offer?

We are not traveling with kids, just 4 adults

Thank You

Can’t help you with a review, but we just booked the Miracle for April. Haven’t read anything negative about the ship or its crew. I was a little apprehensive since there is no Guy’s or Blue Iguana but it didn’t stop us from picking that particular sailing. It checked all of the boxes for us as far as the timing of the cruise, ports and value.

There have been several threads recently about the Miracle that should be helpful. Just use the search function. DH and I are booked on the Miracle for late March, so we were very interested in reading those threads. BTW, we did a 10-day Panama Canal cruise on Holland America last year and loved it.

DH and I just sailed on the Miracle December 2-17 to Hawaii. There is no big screen on Lido, no Guys Burgers or Blue Iguana. There is Alchemy Bar, and a nice Serenity area.

The decor takes a little getting used to for us. Lots of nudity around the ship, and grapes everywhere in the Baccus dining room. There is a recurring theme of a woman holding an open book. She is all around the ship. Haven't a clue who she is?

We didn't miss Guys at all, actually prefer the offerings at the outdoor grill, or deli. For us, this was the friendliest crew we have ever sailed with, from the officers to cabin stewards, and everyone in between.

We have another cruise booked on the Miracle for next December. Looking forward to sailing on her again.

If you have specific questions I will try and answer them. Hope this helps.

The Miracle is probably our very favorite ship. We love the decor and the crew is fabulous - probably overall the best we've had on any ship. As the poster above, we enjoyed the grill and never missed Guys but maybe that's because their burgers are too greasy for me anyway.

Check out the extended balconies on the aft sides such as 7258. It's our favorite cabin! My profile pic was taken on the super long balcony of 7258!

We leave next Saturday, January 27th, for our 3rd cruise on the Miracle. I've had plenty of Guy's burgers, which yes, are very good, but not enough to make me miss it on THIS ship.

We love the layout of the Miracle. It's one of the easier ones to find your way around quickly.

We love Carnival for all the comedy shows and only wonder when they will start locating them in larger rooms??? Everyone lines up at least a half hour before each show and they really do KICK YOU OUT after one show so others can see the next show. They have 5 shows a day usually!! 2-3 family friendly and 2-3 over 18. And they warn you. If you're easily offended by language, sexual content, etc Don't Go!! Just attend the family friendly earlier shows!

Hope you love your Miracle cruise!

We will be on the Miracle on Feb. 17 and am totally looking forward to it. We were on her way back in 2006 and were on her sister ship, the Legend, in 2013. I really liked the Serenity area & the overall layout of the ships. I don't think I will miss Guys and the Blue Iguana. I like Guys, but after a recent cruise on the Paradise, I realized I actually missed the Grill - their burgers were nice & you could get either grilled chicken or chicken fingers - all were very good.

I'm thrilled that the Miracle will be back in Tampa (I heard it will be here year-round??) - it's only 30 minutes from my house & the port is tied as my favorite with Port Canaveral.

I don't post full reviews, but I will come back on & let you know how I thought the cruise went. Keep in mind, this is a Premier Casino cruise for us, so a lot of our time will be in the casino, but I do manage to get around to most venues.

Not having Guys or Iguana is a plus for us.

At the Grill you can get a grilled chicken breast cooked to order. The space for Iguana is used as another breakfast bar.

Only one Spirit Class ship has an outdoor screen. Looking at the pool decks, neither seem to be a decent location for it.

The Serenity is huge.

We will be on the Miracle again in March. Love the layout and size of the Spirit-class ships. Have sailed on the Pride, Legend and Miracle multiple times. We will miss the big screen (Dive-In Theater) that the Pride has.

We are leaving on Miracle Feb 3rd. Cruised to Hawaii on her several years ago. Really like the size as not into mega ships. 2,000 range is what we prefer even without all of the specialty restaurants and such. Will see in a couple of weeks how we like it now. Have been cruising HAL last several years, but decided to try Miracle again now that she is back in Tampa (my favorite port and close drive). Will post when we return how we liked it.

I will be looking forward to the reviews after several of you come back from the Miracle cruises. We are booked in July for a family cruise. This will be our first time on Carnival although we cruised other lines. We picked Carnival because of the dates and the ports. Our family has 8 adults ranging from 78-48 and 4 teens ages 18-15, the 15 yr.old will be celebrating her 15th birthday on the ship (very excited) We are really looking forward to this cruise and our family adventure.

A question may teens join karaoke? Thanks and have a great day.

We will be sailing February 10th on the Miracle. This is our 10th Carnival cruise, but first time on the Miracle. We've been on the Pride 3X and we love that ship and the layout..

I think my DH will miss Guys and Blue Iguana and I will miss the Dive-In theatre but we are excited about the itinerary, know we will like the layout (same as Pride) and most of all just happy to get away from all this cold cold weather !!

I'll check back in here when we get back and let you know how it was...

Is Feb 17 a Premier cruise too? I am cruising Feb 24 on the Miracle and it's a Premier cruise. I guess they are having back to back Premier cruises on the Miracle. I know it's a lot of casino time. I always plan my schedule around the giveaways! I hope they have some newer slots.

We are on the Miracle January 27th out of Tampa, can’t wait. Have not been on this particular ship, but did sail on its sister ship, the Spirit, and loved it. Will post a review and pictures when we get back.

We also will be on this sailing. Hoping for warm weather, tired of the snow!!

We have 7258 on Miracle for the partial canal transit on 14APR!!! I'm so excited!

avoid aft cabins - this ship vibrates like no other! We had the aft wrap last July and it was so bad, made it hard to sleep and the glassware at the bar area was clinking so much, we just had it all removed. The dining room had tables with vibrating glassware too. I don't think I would book Miracle again.

Seconding on the vibration. Wow. At the steak house it was like eating on a magic fingers bed. Even in the MDR the vibration was very prevalent. I found it easier to ignore in the MDR, but the steak house experience (food wise was good) was memorable for its constant shake.

With that said, I loved my Miracle cruise.

  • 2 weeks later...

Sailed her many times on the West Coast. She vibrated only some of the time. Never could figure out rhyme or reason for it. Think of it as a freebie that you didn’t get charged extra for.
