Seeing whales late Feb--early March?

Keith is correct as usual. Whale season is early December through the end of March, with some early birds prior, and stragglers after. You will be there as the babies get more and more active.

It will take very little effort to see whales. In fact, we will be there very late February into mid March for the purpose of whale watching.

We were in Hawaii in late January into February where we saw whales from our ship while at breakfast. One one island we had booked a diving tour to Molokini which turned into a whale watch. The boat captain had to stop numerous times on our journey to the sunken crater due to the number of whales, some of which were seeking protection under our boat. The aggressive males were attempting to separate the females from the "small" young whales.
