helicopter ride in ketchikan alaska

hi going Alaska in june want to do helicopter ride in Ketchikan with ryan mccue been on his site on internet. has anyone any tips if I can book this when we arrive or is it best booking before? not been to Alaska before thanks

We booked well in advance - about 8 months - so if he has availability for your day, I would book it. We absolutely loved our tour with him. We flew to a meadow area and hiked around for awhile. He was great with my 9 year old daughter and pointed out a lot of things we would have missed. Would highly recommend! Have fun!

I agree that you should book in advance as early as possible to make sure you get the trips you want.

I also agree that this sort of question, as well as stops in other ports, are best answered on the Alaska part of the Ports of Call section. I pinned down all of our tour operators by relying on reading a lot of that section and had a great time.
