Mahjong set on Serenade

Recommended Posts

Are there any Mahjong sets available for passengers to use on the Serenade? If yes, how many?

If there is one, it is unlikely to be complete (and usable). There is no oversight of them, and they are vandalized.

There are some nice travel sets you can buy.

Some ships have them in the game room, and it might take two or three sets to actually make one full set. Then, after someone uses it rather than returning it to the cabinet they take it back to the cabin so others can’t use it.

Recently on the Brilliance, the sets were held by guest services I checked one out, but was required to sign a document that it was a complete set and then I was returning a complete set. I checked the tiles before I signed out the set.

If you can find a lightweight travel set, that might be the best option. In a pinch,

I have used the mah-jongg playing cards, but is very cumbersome to hold all the cards and then switch them around like you would do with tiles.

Good luck.

I was on her in April and there were several onboard. Get there early as they are quite popular!

We will be on the Serenade in the next month. Did you need to sign the set out? If that is the case then it is more likely that the set is complete. Do you know if they had multiple sets?

Been on Serenade 20 cruises, don't know if ever saw cruise without people playing but with their own set. Lot of these people playing meet on their Roll Call and set time to meet to play...

Want to play, bring your own...
