slot machine question?

Does anyone know if cruise lines change slot machines on their ships? If you sailed on one ship, would there be any new slots the following year on that same ship?

Of COURSE they change them...and the re-arrange them, they change the pay-out schedule....whatever they can do to make a profit...

Just because a certain slot was there last time, doesn't mean it will be there this time!

do they still have penny slots? The Freedom did --- just wondering if the Valor does?

We were on the Valor in Nov. and they had penney slots. We played the Quick Hit .02 slots.

The slot machines are generally quite current and there are lots of penny machines as most machines are now mult-denominational.

Depending on the machine you will see the buttons indicating that you can play 1 cent, 2 cents, etc. or 25 cents, $1, $2 etc.

Just be careful about the amount you play; e.g. on some machines Max Bet could be 200 coins or more. On a 1 cent machine that would be $2.00.

I always walk around the casinos when we board to see what new machines have been installed.

They don't even have to change the whole machine. Just open it up and put a new face on it, change the wheels and there you go, "New Machine". With the ones with a video screen it's even easier, just change the screen and select a new program.

There was a penny machine on the Conquest where you could play up to 900 coins per spin. Can't remember what it was, but I only played the minimum $.30. I hit it for $60, but of course gave it all back :o
