Mobile Hotspot

We are taking a cruise in May to Ireland, Iceland and Scotland. Our phones have crazy roaming charges in Europe, so we are looking at renting a mobile hotspot, mostly to make connections with tour operators and to check email and whatnot. With 5 of us, the mobile hotspot seems easier and much less expensive. Has anyone used one in these countries? We found Mywebspot, which looks like it will work in all 3 countries, but I am not sure. Thanks for any recommendations.
