Legend of the Seas

Can anyone give me their thoughts on what the final cruise on the Legend of the Seas on the 13 Match will be like. We have never been on this ship and I am wondering what condition it is in. Will they cut back on things or will they make it extra special. I note there are a lot of cabins left.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Our experience on the last cruise of Monarch was that they made it very special.

Our experience on LOS, is that they are already cutting back. We're home 2 weeks now. Many menu items were out and/or being substituted. For example,

No grand marnier in the Grand Marnier soufflé . In fact all menu items listing a liquor of any kind will actually be virgin.

No seafood in the seafood soup

No mushrooms in the mushroom soup (just mushroom flavor)

In fact most soups are "empty"

Salmon being substituted in for most seafood dishes. If you order grilled prawns, you will get 2 prawns and a salmon filet.

If you order prime rib, you will get sliced roast beef.

Order an omelette at breakfast in the MDR And you get a flat egg disc with a scoop of filling in the center, no folding over and melting in. You get the impression the "egg discs are made ahead and they just scoop the "filling of the day" on top.

I could go on and on. It was all edible it just wasn't up to expectation. Actually we did enjoy the food in the Park where you could get a toasted bagel with cream cheese and lox, and end with a yogurt parfait.
