Carnival Vista Stateroom

We are going on our second cruise next year in September, I would like to know if anyone has stayed on deck 3 in rooms 3234 or 3238? I understand that this is an obstructed view. Does anyone know if you can see out the window at all or is completely obstructed? We would also like to know if anyone has information on if the have a formal night and white night. On our first cruise that we took last year we were not informed about this so we weren't prepared. We would like to be a little more informed this time so that we can inform everyone in our group. Thanks in advance for any information that you give us.
