Liberty- various ways of getting ice?

Recommended Posts

I like to make my own iced tea by bringing my own tea bags. I need access to a lot of ice.

We normally cruise Disney where the drink stations are outside available to everyone- super easy to walk up, get a tea bag, hot water, and make my own tea by dumping hot tea into ice.

Liberty will not have Twinings sitting around so I am bringing my own. Now to access hot water and ice- easily.

Any idea?

My wife and I are sitting here trying to remember any cruise ship that we have been on since 2001 that didn't have a beverage station where coffee, milk, hot water, ice water and an ice machine were available.

Electric Tea kettles are available in JS and above. If you’re in a lesser cabin, ask your room steward for one.
this only if your sailing in Europe.

You can get tea, hot water and ice in the Windjammer

Self-service ice is hard to come by on RC ships outside of when WIndjammer is open and those ships with Freestyle machines.

there is always one drink station operating even when the WJ is closed. IIRC, though, on LIB they just have dispensers of water, and lemonade at Promenade. no fountain type machines.

But no self-service ice, unless there is a Freestyle machine.

Liberty had an ice machine in the Promenade Cafe as of last July 2017. Don't know about any other ships or Liberty since then!

I always let my cabin attendant know that I need my ice bucket filled at all time, which they have almost always done without fail twice a day. One even made sure I had two buckets filled at all times, to be sure I never ran out. :D
