Horizon itinerary change - 20% discount

We were on the 6/5/2018 Horizon cruise when a medical emergency caused an itinerary change.

Carnival provided all passengers with a 20% discount on their next Carnival cruise. Question...Can the discount be used on any of Carnival Corp's lines? Princess for example.

And just be aware that it’s not 20% off another cruise. It’s 20% of what you paid for this cruise off another cruise. So if you paid $2000 for this cruise, you’ll get $400 of your next cruise. It doesn’t mean you can book a $5000 cruise and get $1,000 off. I’m just clarifying because a lot of people get confused with how these discounts work.

I’ve received a future cruise discount for a problem that occurred with our cabin and it was 15% off the price (before taxes and port fees) of the next cruise booked. Yours may be different!

It's funny because we went to the Future Cruise talk and the woman told us that we can use the 20% on ONLY as on board credit on a future cruise, but wife says she saw someone mention that they used the 20% toward the fare (based on what was paid on the previous cruise). You also have until the end of 2019 I believe to book.

I suggest you read the information that is printed on the document that you received.
