Quality Suites Historic Downtown Anchorage

Anyone stayed at this hotel? Yay or nay? Price is very reasonable. Thanks.

I personally would keep looking. It is well located, so if you can overlook everything else, it might work...

I think I would check prices at the Clarion Suites on 9th & L or the Anchorage Grand. Or maybe this: http://www.susitnaplace.com/

We have a reservation for one night at this place. We will be driving back from Denali and leaving the next day at 6AM to take the train to Seeward. We choose this hotel because it was close to the train station. Is it ok for one night or should we look for something else.

You can read the TripAdvisor reviews I linked and decide if you are okay with what others encountered. The Ship Creek Comfort Inn or the Anchorage Grand Hotel are even closer to the rail depot if you decide to change.

I've Stayed there and had no problem with "seedy" :) Yep, there is some "wildlife" hanging around, but found them harmless. It's a very good location and I easily walked all over.

Thanks Budget Queen. It will basically be somewhere to sleep for us.....flight gets in at 7pm after 10 hrs of travel and we transfer to Captain Cook the next day as part of our cruise tour. But we wanted to stay downtown versus airport so we can get an early start on the next day.

Thanks for the info. I cancelled The Quality Suites and booked Anchorage Grand Hotel. The fact that we can walk to the train station for the early morning trip makes this a great choice. Thanks for the recommendation.
