MAGIC - Sail N Sign cards or New Fobs?

Has the Magic gone to the new fob system that was being trialed on some other ships awhile back or do they still use the Sail N Sign cards?

Just got off the Magic and still had the Sail N Sign cards.

It's the Princess branch of Carnival Corp that has the Magic Medallion on a couple of ships right now. I'm sure they want to get that fleet wide on all Princess ships before bringing on to the large Carnival ships.

It will probably be a while before Carnival Cruise Line has them. An article on the 7'th says that Princess Cruises has delayed the roll-out to "refine and enhance the functionality". I took this to mean "It ain't working right!"

Personally, I do have security concerns about the Medallion since they claim to be "NFC complaint". If they work like the new Hilton NFC hotel keys, they are worthless as far as security. They simply have an NFC tag in them that any phone with an NFC Wallet can clone.
