A question for gbenjo

I should have said. Those are the plans, but have to have a red hot poker in the back first, so it depends on me feeling up to it after that.

Mrs Gut wants to visit Peter’s before Christmas so seems the perfect opportunity as we had booked a non refundable room.

Hope the needle goes well then.:D

Saw Gbenjo, thought he looked well.

Wasn’t happy watch8ng everyone boarding my cruise, but that’s life, had to make the call while I wasn’t going to have to pay, as it is probably could have gone without an accessible cabin.

After Mrs Gut had some retail therapy walked back to the car and saw everyone feeding their faces and tried to work out how to stow away.

And Mr Gut, we require a full report in triplicate on the red hot poker job and the reunion with Gbenjo at ye olde OPT.

Have a great time.

Ok report.

Best result so far after about five of these, Dr thinks he may be able to give some longer term relief at this level. Next level next week.

The only person I hug when I’m bare is Mrs Gut.

Certainly not Gbenjo.

Yes Gut you gave me a big hug........ and thank god you were fully clothed 😂. Seriously though it was great to hear that things are improving and you can once again go cruising, even if it is not for eighteen months...... hopefully something will come up before then for you and Mrs Gut

Good news, I hope you continue to improve.

A couple of weeks back that did L1,2 and 3. Without much luck.

Yesterday T 6,7,8 and 9. T8 and 9 are a huge improvement so far.

Not sure about next week, but probably try C and T.

Thanks for the report, it would have been tough, real tough.

Wast too bad it as if I only found out a few days ago that I wouldn’t be going, but I was looking forward to some different (for me anyway) ports.

I find it tough seeing the ships at the OPT about to leave on cruises that I had only looked at and priced, etc, and I wasn't even booked on them. My addiction is quite severe.

Hi gbenjo,

I apologise that I've posted this question in 2 different places, but I'm nervous this close to my cruise. I'm leaving on the Golden Princess on Friday, going round Tassie, and have just realised that we have no photo ID for the kids (I didn't realise their passports had expired). I've rung Princess who have said the expired passport for the 20 year old is fine (they will accept passports that have expired up to 5 years ago), but that for the 17 year old the Medicare card can be used. I've been told that the expired passport will not work for her. I'm nervous to turn up with no photo ID for my daughter and so I was going to apply for the Keypass ID card from Australia post. As someone who works in check in I wondered if you could tell me if the information I've been given by Princess is correct, and if I'll have any problems getting on board?

Thanks in advance

Trish

Just to give you all an update, we're on board now. The girl at check in didn't even bat an eyelid at the passports being expired, and it was all fine. Thanks for all of your replies.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi Graham - merry Xmas and hope you are doing well once again.

Quick query when you get a chance.

We are leaving on Radiance on 3rd Jan and my Daughter wants to claim the GST on a digital camera she bought via the TRS system. The TRS website says this can be done at the OPT but says only between 1 and 4 hrs prior to departure. Which means between 2:30pm and 4:30pm. With Border Force there for all of check in, I was thinking perhaps this time limitation really only applies at the airport for plane departures. Do you have any info or guidance on this?

Whilst we can check in at anytime from 11:30am we were certainly hoping to board earlier than 2:30pm.

No problem......The TRS desk is open from the time we start boarding so you will be OK to claim your refund when you board. As you say I think the time restrictions are for the airport. I have escorted guests back off the ship when they have forgotten to claim but it is frowned upon by the ships security so not suggested. 😡
