Mazatlan - El Faro and Stone Island

Thinking of hiking up El Faro and then heading to Stone Island when we are in Mazatlan.

Can anyone provide walking directions from the ship to El Faro and then El Faro to the Stone Island Ferry.

Go out of the terminal and turn left. About three blocks to the dirt road that goes about another block to the water taxi terminal. The paved road turns right at that junction.

If you stay on the paved road, it will lead you to El Faro. You can see it from the port terminal.

We were planning on hiking up to El Faro on our cruise in 2 weeks until I read it's closed until March.

You can see the walk by putting: El Faro, Mazatlan into Google and clicking on the map that appears. It is just under 2 miles from the cruise port.

Yes I have seen mixed stories in that some people have been able to work around the construction.
