idk but i was on a casino cruise last dec, the biggest one i guess for big prizes like laptops. i guess to get to that one you cruise a lot to get to that level?

all i know is we had about 500 priority cruisers, and about 200 of them were diamond. I didnt know we had that many diamond level in Carnival and they were all on my cruise.

When we were boarding one lady who was diamond kept yelling come on, im sure not all of you are diamonds as a whole huge group got up to board when diamonds were called.

i talked to someone who worked on the ship who confirmed, yep there were that many priority people onboard. it was crazy!! debarking, hardly like priority. belize tenders priority?

i will never again book with a big casino cruise group, i will avoid them if at all possible

You might want to check your offer - I'm not sure that Getaway offers include priority? I know that Premiere, Ultra and Elite offers do include it, but when I took a cruise through a Getaway offer about a month ago, mine definitely did NOT come with priority boarding. I'm just not sure if any of the Getaways do include it or if it's only on the better offers.

Thanks. Ours don't show priority but we emailed the casino dept. and they said ours would not be marked but there will be signs in Galveston where to check in so hopefully that is correct. We will show up at our check in time of 11:30 anyway so can go in the regular line if needed. My husband did win this cruise on the Dream in August during the casino power hour so maybe that has something to do with it.

In Tampa in May there was a set aside check in and waiting area for casino fares. I didn't see if they boarded before, with or after the FTTF's as I walked onto to the ship as a Diamond. Wedding Guests, Diamonds, Platinums, FTTF's and casino fares were called before starting with the Zone #'s.

CruiseMomTx how was the cruise? I am going on my first getaway cruise in April and was also told that I will have priority boarding but it doesn't show on my boarding pass. They said when I check in and the boarding pass is scanned it will tell them.

I don't know about you, but it's been my experience in New Orleans that the staff just yells at everyone to get in line and only looks at your arrival time on your boarding pass. I'm not sure if they have a special line for casino fares. I'm not able to select a check in time yet, but I will try to get an early one so getting in a special line won't be a big deal, but just in case I'd like to know.

We had a great time & sorry I thought I came back and gave a mini review.  We did a Getaway on the Valor in Nov out of Galveston, priority was not on our boarding passes and I think there was a sign or something at the port but don't remember.  We bought FTTF mainly for early access to our cabin and used that line and I think they were already boarding when we walked up so easy breezy.

My husband won this Getaway on the Dream in Aug during the casino power hour so that was nice, we paid extra to get a balcony cabin.  We both already had Getaway offers so each got $200 in the casino and actual cash so that was nice.

The 2 ladies that were the casino hosts were very nice and friendly all week.  Our bag with the DOU card, lanyard and schedule of events wasn't in our cabin so at some point we went to the casino to inquire about it.  They checked and quickly got it for us and while we were there some other Getaway people were asking about a cocktail party and the hosts had a bartender come over and serve all of us for free for about and hour or so.  Now since we sailed from Galveston the DOU cards don't start until the next day.  Well the awesome hosts said not to worry they would take care of drinks the first night in the casino while we were playing just show our DOU cards.  We were really surprised because on our Premier in Sept on the Breeze we had to buy our own drinks the first night.

We got picked for one game, its where you have 2 playing cards per cabin and if either are drawn you go pick a prize.  One of ours got called during the last group so I got a bag with a players club cap, t-shirt and $75.  We also qualified for the slot tournament on the last day and I came in next to last I think and got $50.

There were several good payouts we saw during the week 2 for mourned $8,000 each, $10,000 the first night and I even got $2400!!  It was busy in the casino and you would see some people playing the same machine day and night it seemed but you could always find something to play.

We got in our initial goody bag 2 little cinch sacks and accumulated a few more with prizes. During the week we got some cookies and chocolate covered strawberries and towards the end my husband asked about dinner in the steakhouse.  They said it was already booked up but comped the dinner we already had there earlier in the week.

Overall we had a great time even if the weather was bad except for Cozumel we finally had sunshine.

We did both get Ultra offers and have booked 2 in March both on the Vista.
