Thankyou for your interest in the new icebreaker. We’re all very excited for thelaunch, too. You may have seen that we’ve just revealed the name for the ship -Le Commandant Charcot, named in honor of the “gentleman of the Poles,” CaptainJean-Baptiste Charcot.

We are still planning for a 2021 launch date, and untilthen we are doing our best to continue sharing updates with our loyal guestsand followers as they become available.

Our focus will of course continue tostay on the innovative environmental protection technology on board the shipincluding the advanced “Cleanship” equipment that will use Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to reduce SO2, NOₓ, CO2 and particleemissions along with a hybrid electric mode that will allow for periods of zeroemission.

Thank you again for your interest in the ship, we will make sure youcontinue to stay up to date as we work toward her inaugural journey.
