Carnival Imagination - no hairdryers? really?

We are taking our first Carnival Cruise on Sunday - I thought I read somewhere there are no hairdryers in the rooms? Is that true? (trying to cut back on our packing .... :))

The Imagination does not have hair dryers in the cabin. You can ask your cabin steward if he/she can get you one to borrow, and if there's one available he/she will....but it may be best to just bring your own.

We'll just bring one to be safe. We have to fly in and are trying to do 2 carry-ons only for our flight.

Unless you have more than 12 hairs on your head, the hair dryers Carnival does provide on certain ships is of little use anyway. Just always plan to bring your own hair dryer on a Carnival cruise. Many of their ships don't have hair dryers (older Fantasy class ships), and the ones that do have hair dryers aren't powerful enough to dry your hair (if you have very much hair at all) in a reasonable length of time.

Ahh .. I envy you folks who need the full blown powered hairdryer - alas - I just need one for my rather thin and short hair - to blow it to make it 'look' like I have more hair! ;)

THIS! To the Nth degree! I've been on 6 cruises with hairdryers & 2 without. The timea I sail with them I never bring my own & always end up cursing myself for it. We just got off the Dream on 9/3 & my bf scheduled at least a half hour window every evening into getting ready just for blowdrying. Bring your own either way. I plan to next time.
